CD Format
This Cd is support material aligned with the learner resource. The CD comprises of a powerpoint suitable for group training.
In emergency situations, effective communications can provide the essential connection between the officer in charge, crews and the communications centre.
During difficult incident operations, everything works against good communications. Therefore, all personnel must be trained to communicate effectively in even the most adverse conditions.
Agencies generally have two modes of communication: personal (face-to-face), and electronic. This learner resource will cover most of the electronic means of communication, although the focus will be on two-way radio communications. |

This learner resource is divided into three sections.
Section 1 operation of various communications systems used by agencies
Section 2 transmission of verbal communications and the recording of information
Section 3 operational procedures in use within agencies.
Note: This document is an introduction to communications systems across all agencies. Agency specific documentation outlining local communications procedures should be read in conjunction with this learner resource. |

set up and use the various radio systems that operate within an organisation
